always a lover of words, writes poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. She is a member of the Academy of American Poets, Delmarva Christian Writers’ Fellowship, and the Eastern Shore Writers Association. Her poetry and other writings have appeared in a variety of magazines, publications, and books.

In regards to recent activities, Mary Emma says:  "I am grateful to the Dover Century Club for the opportunity to present my new book, Standing in the Middle of the Road, at the Club's annual spring luncheon last week at Maple Dale. And, to all those who purchased my book . . . Thank you!”
